StonerRock.com Terms of Use

The StonerRock.com discussion forums are UNMODERATED. However, we do have many Forums Administrators who aggressively enforce the following Terms of Use:

1. StonerRock.com is a 100% Free Speech Environment within the confines of the law. Everyone is free and encouraged to speak their minds to their heart’s content but anything deemed to be illegal will be unceremoniously deleted by the Forums Administrators.

2. The StonerRock.com "Terms of Use" apply equally to Community Supporters and Regular Members.

3. If you are overly sensitive, easily offended or have entitlement issues then you should not enter the General Discussion forum.

4. If you get offended by someone else’s use of free speech then you have the right to block them by username using the inbuilt “Block” function.

5. If you disapprove of another member’s behavior or opinions then your only recourse is to use the “Block” function. We do not ban members from the website under any circumstances due to the free speech nature of the discussion forums. The easy availability of dynamic IP addresses make banning impossible anyways.

6. Aliases are absolutely not permitted. Choose one username and stick to it! If you create multiple usernames (IE: aliases) for the sake of causing disruptions in the discussion forums then the Forums Administrators have the right to delete all of your posts from all of your aliases at their discretion. Every post that you make to the discussion forums has your IP Address attached to it. It’s invisible to you but visible to the Forums Administrators so they will be able to spot aliases very easily.

7. If you share a computer with other members then you should be extra careful not to cause serious disruptions. Otherwise, you may be mistaken for a multiple-alias user and have your posts deleted. (NOTE: multiple users on one computer AND dynamic IP Addresses are the reasons that we can’t “lock” IP Addresses to usernames and prevent multiple-alias users.)

8. Every individual is welcome (and that includes the occasional troll) as long as the individual sticks to one username and does not create multiple aliases.

9. Anything posted to the forums that compromises the functionality and useability of the discussion forums for other members will be considered vandalism and will be unceremoniously deleted. Such things include, but are not limited to, javascripts, faulty html code, embedded audio/video, and multiple “spoof” threads that clutter up the forums index pages.

10. Forums Administrators may, at their discretion, delete "off topic" posts from the topic-specific forums such as Album Reviews, Live Reviews, Live Events, Movies and Television, etc. For instance, if you post a "general discussion" post in the Album Reviews forum then it may be deleted. If you post an Album Review in the Movies and Television forum then that may be deleted as well. There is no such thing as "off topic" for the General Discussion forum, providing that the post follows the other Terms of Use on this page.

11. StonerRock.com is provided AS IS. We do not take requests for new features, modifications or changes of any kind. We do not provide help, instructions or support of any kind.

12. You are accessing StonerRock.com AT YOUR OWN RISK. The owners of StonerRock.com are not liable in any way, shape or form for anything posted to the discussion forums or the other areas of the website. StonerRock.com is a “For the Community, By the Community” website and the owners have no control over what is posted by the community and proclaim no ownership of text, pictures or any other content and accept no liability for it.

13. StonerRock.com is an extremely popular website that is hosted on a dedicated high-capacity dual processor server and uses an enormous amount of bandwidth. It is hoped that StonerRock.com will be paid for by contributions from the community. A generous sponorship from All That is Heavy pays the difference between contributions and expenses. If you do not shop at All That is Heavy on a regular basis then please contribute.
