Low of the Low Checks In From The Studio
Posted by: bufftbone on 7/20/2010 11:36:54 PM

I recently had a chance to have a q&a with Low of the Low vocalist Mark Crowley about the band and the work they`re doing on their new album.

TSS You guys have been tucked away in the studio for some time now, how is the recording process going?

MC Really good, we`ve been at it for quite some time, but we`re hoping to put a few tracks out very soon.

TSS How is the process coming along?

MC Slow and steady, we`ve only been recording on Saturdays and rehearsing through out the week.

TSS How many songs are going to be on the final cut?

MC Eventually we`ll have at least 12. We`re going to release the CD in 3 or 4 separate parts. We didn`t want to blow our load and throw everything out at once. It seems it would be more of an advantage to keep releasing 3 song singles every 4 to 6 months, keep it fresh!!!

TSS In your own words, describe how this album compares to Land of Lincoln.

MC The only comparable I can see, is the band name. This is going to be completely different. We`ve gone through so many changes since that CD came out. We were just getting our feet wet, didn`t know shit. Johnny Sullivan really coached us through the process. Were not really a good studio band, we live for the moment. The studio is like picking apart your emotions, its not easy. You can loss focus really fast.

I`m hoping our fans will see how we`ve grown from LOL to the new CD.
